Quoted from Science Daily, a study funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) UK, the aspect of working mothers and its relationship with socio-emotional boy. The results showed that no adverse effects on the social or emotional development of children, when their mothers work.
The impact of socio-emotional development when mothers work are very dependent on how the regulatory and applied parenting. This will be different in children who live with parents who are divorced and work.

The boy who lived with a divorced mother and earn a living, showing more trouble in the fifth year than boys living with two parents working. Unlike the girls, they would likely have trouble in the fifth with a divorced dad and earn a living, compared with girls who live with both parents working.
Dr Anne McMunn said that working mothers are more likely to have higher educational qualifications, living in household income is higher, and the possibility of having a small depression than mothers who did not work.
So, either working mothers or not, the first year for the children will determine their development, in subsequent years.
