Qvae: Learning with Loud Sound
Are you or your child during the first school textbooks often read aloud?
Qvae: Learning the Hard Sound

Many elementary school age children who are always raising his voice while learning. The most commonly seen is the time to read a passage, both in Indonesian and English. Habit of reading aloud will gradually disappear with age and developmental reading read. But still there are children who should be sounding, though not out loud-what they read.

One time my friend admonished his son to learn English while reading all the sentences aloud. His mother admonished like, "Son, if learning to shout like that, later a clever neighbor". I burst out laughing. Baby sitting in 6th grade and then argued that he could not understand that reading is not read aloud.

In Japan, there are some schools that apply in the morning reading class in addition to the reading obtained at the Japanese language lessons. Reading lessons in the morning for the upper class (4-6) is usually silent reading, and each student is free to bring their own reading books. While reading lesson for the lower classes (grades 2-3) usually in a loud voice. In the Japanese language lessons, the reading is done by standing upright while holding the book at eye level, and read it aloud.

How to read as above have positive values, namely:

1) Train the child to pronounce correctly
2) Train children not to issue a timid voice, though one reading
3) Related to the above, there will be child's self confidence
4) Make it easy for kids to remember the content of reading

The negative value is the child could not read quickly. For just a practice of reading, then reading out loud can be applied, but if the emphasis is broader understanding, then the silent reading is a more appropriate step because without a sound, reading will be more quickly resolved.

I often experience when teaching children lessons in High school in English and Arabic, they read with a soft voice, and back and forth staring at the teacher, as if asking for help on a difficult passage. Similarly, this attitude affected the ability of speech and expression. I think this is born out of his self-confidence is fostered very well since he was in kindergarten / elementary school.

So, when the child reaches the time he could read well, then let him choose how to learn / read aloud. Is not listening to them read aloud, parents can be corrected at once whether or not reading the correct reading?

Let the learning out loud as well as a learning tool for neighbors
