Education Three Dimensions: Body-Heart (behavior)-Brain, qvae
I am often asked where the education process should begin. The easiest question to answer tricky. The word "from which" should lead to a place, location, stage, phase or time. And therefore the answer would appear to the above questions are varied, and must have been all right if his assumption was correct.

Education Three Dimensions: Body-Heart (behavior)-Brain, qvae
For approximately six and a half years he lived and studied education in Japan (and even then it is still lacking), I dare to conclude that Japanese education is education that follows the model: body -> heart> brain.
Education Three Dimensions: Body-Heart (behavior)-Brain, qvae

Education of the body is an aspect that is emphasized in early childhood. Therefore, exercise activity, body building, motor training is a priority basis in hoikuen (daycare), youchien (kindergarten) and shougakkou (elementary school). Then how to practice?

The main activities of children and youchien hoikuen is playing. There is no element of learning by using stationery or books. If yet known about learning, they learn to memorize words through songs and greeting or conversation style of the child, but not to write it. Children to know the new vocabulary through natural processes.

There are no experts who argue that the workings of the heart and brain depend on the condition of the body. It is well understood by educators in Japan. Therefore the formation of the body, activating muscle and the muscles of children through the "movement". Normal children and those with disorders of the physical aspect is no different, they all have to move and train all their organs in childhood. Hand consisting of five fingers, each of which has a function. Of the fifth finger was noted that the thumb is the organ most defining physical development of children. Notice when the child begins to crawl, the main pedestal to hold his thumb on the hands and feet. When he began to take something, he initially held with the other fingers, and gradually realized that something was going strong when held in check by holding the thumb join. Strengthen the thumb the other fingers to hold onto something solid. The same applies to the foot. Leg function to run the child will understand if he had started to use his legs to walk. When the boy climbed a tree, her toes also contribute to a strong grip on tree trunks. If there is no toe, for example because the child is applied hosiery, then surely his foot hard tread in the trunk. Note also that the child's walking and running more quickly if her toes are freed when moving.

Therefore not surprising that children in hoikuen and youchien in Japan are not accustomed to wearing socks or shoes. They need not be afraid of insects that will bite his feet, which would contaminate the water footprint legs, or rocks that may be pierced feet. The more thick sole child, the better it is! so said a nurse at hoikuen.

PE in primary schools is given three times a week for 45 minutes each session. The number of gym class in elementary school per year is as follows, 1st grade, the clock unit 102, class 2, 3, and 4 as many as 105 units of hours, and grades 5 and 6 each 90 hours plus 12 hours of learning material (total 597 hours ). As a counterpoint exercise in middle school at each grade 1-3 105 hours (total 315 hours) which rose from 90 hours (total 270 hours) in the previous period. Discussion about these changes please read here.

The principle of a healthy body and soul was born a healthy brain are reflected in the learning activities in schools. Of course, the student body and soul health is not determined by physical education, but also by food intake in the body. Even if the school is preparing lunches detected and maintained nutritional value and the amount of intake, even at home parents are encouraged to provide at least similar foods nutritional content.

The flu is easily transmitted among children. Therefore, parents who have children in hoikuen, youchien, and low-grade elementary school every day to report to the teacher about the condition of the body, such as the student body temperature, especially if the child shows symptoms of illness. If the temperature reaches 39 degrees, children are not allowed to enter school.

To teach children about the need to maintain health, in hoikuen and youchien and Elementary school have the habit of washing their hands and do ugai (rinsing the mouth) every time you go to school or finished play / break time. The habit of brushing your teeth together is also a mandatory event after lunch.

When compared with the ethnic character of this world, I think the Japanese are included in the category of people who are very sensitive. Sensitivity was not related to personal self, but relate to other people. For example, when they behave or act, which was first thought was not a personal success, but if others are not disturbed by the action.

Manners are taught respect for other people with attitudes such as habituation greeted with a loud voice, do not be shy, say thank you, apologize, which is actually in school in Indonesia should have been taught to our students. Apologized to the student teacher is not unusual. Similarly, students to teachers.

One day there was a Japanese elementary school students insulted my friend's child who was black (because of Indonesia) by saying the child is never washed. Genesis is heard by my friend, and he certainly was emotional for his son dihinda (even though his average). My friend on another occasion to meet the child's Japanese sister and told her to apologize. Soon the child is at fault came to see my friend and shouted, "no okaasan Fira, Nasa'i Gomen!" (Mama Fira, sorry all!) With a bow 90 degrees. The attitude of bowing as a greeting, and apologizing to the school are taught at the institution in the workplace. For example, when greeting, then simply nodded his head, when introducing himself, bent at an angle of about 30-45 degrees, and apologize when bent at an angle of 90 degrees.

Some studies also show that young Japanese commit suicide so easily if they are insulted. I think the suicide option was taken because they are so embarrassed humiliated. So, if they are insulted and can not resist the insult, they chose to end it by suicide. Encouraging problem children, cultivate their confidence and improve the confidence of children to adults, became one of the charge of moral education.
To train the child's sensitivity to the environment, the Japanese can thumbs up. Waste problem is a scourge in many developing and developed countries, this country can be bypassed with a strong education system / discipline and the provision of facilities that follow. Knowledge of water and the need to maintain the water sources are taught by a pattern of learning outside the classroom, that is by visiting the local PAM, or other activities went on springs, streams and identify where the water they drink everyday come from, and what will happen if the source and flow of contaminated water.

More education is courtesy of behavior in driving. Why do we rarely hear a horn in Japan, why do we almost never hear complaints when they are queuing up long, why the time of the earthquake, the children with the order of hiding under the table and walked to the line a safe place? Everything is education routinely given. Earthquake exercises are taught every month, courtesy driving manners exercises taught in the lesson seikatsu ka (life skills).

These materials are taught the basic character of the level hoikuen, youchien, and  Elementary school . And again when they are not taught junior high school, because they are considered well understood, because it was his daily habit. In this case the heart of education / behavioral habituation and not taught through lectures in the classroom.

Once in a while in the Japanese language lessons in elementary school, and also one hour lesson with a moral guardian class, the teacher read the story of a model, and the film or show, which will be commented on by the children.

Some schools that I visited the home activities also apply to the attendance of their students, such as what they do to help her mother at home, how many hours they study, watch TV, and help her mother. Apart from there will be children and parents who do not care about this, the important thing is conditioning system has been developed with a holistic approach.

Education or the teaching of science of the brain is the start emphasized above grade level, and increasingly emphasized in high school. Therefore, if compared with elementary school students in Indonesia, elementary students in Japan learn the material a little more coverage, but they will be greatly superior to our students if given the problems of understanding and analysis. That's because instead of rote memorization are emphasized to them, but the method and can understand.

To be able to provide science education is better, a teacher in Japan expected not only to understand the pedagogy of teaching, but more than that to master the art. Therefore, a ten-year, each teacher must follow the renewal certificate. And while following the reform, teachers must take the appropriate courses at the faculty of the field.

Three-dimensional study with similar sequence (body-> heart> brain) is applied in all of Japan's education system. So, not preferred, but the brain that the body should be developed first, and once formed the foundation of a solid body, the new children developed liver and brain. Brain development could be in pesatkan with the body and heart foundations have been established and well formed. But if the body and the motor has not formed properly, the heart and brain can not develop optimally.
