Education is a human need throughout life.Every need education, to when and where it resides. Education is very important, because no human being would be difficult to develop education and even going backward. Thus education should really be directed to produce quality human and able to compete, in addition to having a noble character and morals.

Educational goals that we hope are the intellectual life of the nation and develop a complete Indonesian man, the man who is faithful and righteous to God Almighty and noble character, have the knowledge and skills, physical and spiritual health, a steady personality, independence and sense of responsibility community and nation. Education should be able to prepare citizens to participate actively in all fields of life, intelligent, active, creative, skilled, honest, disciplined and high moral, democratic, and tolerant nation by promoting unity rather than division.

Consider the education of children the same as preparing for future generations. Heart of a child is like a photographic plate that does not display anything, ready to reflect on all that revealed to him.

The four pillars of the present and future education proposed by UNESCO to be developed by formal education institutions, namely:
(1) Learning to Know (learning to learn),
(2) learning to do (learn to do something) in this case we are required to be skilled in doing something,
(3) learning to be (learning to become one),
(4) learning to live together (learning to live together).

In order to realize the 'learning to know', teachers should serve as a facilitator. In addition, teachers are required to be able to act as peers in a dialogue with students in developing mastery of knowledge and specific knowledge.

Learning to do (learn to do something) will be run if the school facilitates the students to actualize its skills and talents and interests. Although many talents and interests of children affected offspring but growing element of the development of talents and interests depend on the environment. Skills can be used to sustain the life of a person's skills even more dominant than the acquisition of knowledge in supporting the success of one's life.

Education should be applied in accordance with community needs or the needs of the area where education took place. Elements of local content should be developed in accordance with local needs.

learning to be (studying to be a person) closely related to their talents and interests, physical and psychological development, typology of children's personal and environmental conditions. For children who are aggressive, self-development process will run when given ample opportunity to be creative. In contrast to a passive child, the teacher and the teacher as a facilitator at the same time director is needed for maximum personal development of students.

The habit of living together, mutual respect, open, give and take (take and give), needs to be cultivated. Such conditions allow the process of "learning to live together" (learning to live together). The application of these four pillars is felt more and more important in the era of globalization / era of global competition. Motivations need mutual understanding among racial, ethnic, and religious order not to cause a variety of conflicts that stem from these things.

Thus, the demands of current and future education should be aimed at improving the quality of intellectual and professional skills and attitudes, personality and moral human beings Indonesia in general. With the ability and attitude of the Indonesian people are thus expected to put themselves in a dignified way in the world in this era of globalization.

Regarding the trend of decline in educational achievement over the years, anticipatory measures to be implemented is to strive for increased community participation to education, improving the quality and relevance of education, and improved management at all levels, lines, and types of education. To improve the quality of education in the region, especially in the districts / cities, should be studied first objective conditions of the elements related to the quality of education, namely:
(1) How is the teacher? (Distribution, qualifications, competence, mastery of the material, learning competency, social and personal competence, the level of welfare);
(2) How can the curriculum be addressed and treated by teachers and local education officials?;
(3) How can learning materials used by students and teachers? (Proportion of the book with students, the quality of the textbooks);
(4) What is referred to as a learning resource by teachers and students?,
(5) What is the condition of existing learning infrastructure?;
(6) Are there other means of supporting learning? (School and community networks, networks between schools, school networks and centers of information);
(7) How to study the climatic conditions that exist today?.

Quality education can be improved by performing a series of improvements to any problems faced. Improvements could include improvements to the education curriculum that can provide skills and basic skills at a minimum, apply the concepts learned thoroughly and evoke creative, democratic and independent. Necessary to identify the elements that exist in areas that can be utilized to facilitate the process of improving the quality of education, other local governments, such as expert groups, student associations,  universities, mass organizations, political organizations, the center of publishing, radio studio / local TV, the media / print area, internet sites, and studio learning.
